30 Hardware Installation
1.
Hold protective cover at 45 degree angle to the LGA1150 Socket.
2.
Carefully lower protective cover on hinge side first, to contact with the outside wall of
the LGA1150 Socket:

Engage protective cover retention features to outside of LGA1150 Socket, and align 2
cover corners to socket corners (This step is critical to avoid Bent Contact Damage!).
4.
Lower protective cover to attach to the LGA1150 Socket on Shoulder screw side.
 Perform Visual and Tactile verification that protective cover is properly seated in the
LGA1150 Socket:
Hold cover and move gently
“side by side” to feel the play within the cover and the
LGA1150 Socket.
 Close the socket load plate and engage the load lever (see image below).
