20.5 APPENDIX E - RDS ABILITATION
When buying the Falcon XT you may not require, need, or want the RDS (Radio Data System) encoder as a component
of the audio processor. If, afterwards, you need to activate this feature, then you will have to obtain a Plug Activation
Key. This option can be requested by email from the Axel Technology support service at
.
The department will respond by providing a code to enter using the Axel Universal Target Address Manager within the
Falcon XT.
1. Open the Axel Universal Target Address Manager and connect the device to your PC.

Click COPY FW NUMBER TO CLIPBOARD
3. Email your Firmware Number to
by simply pasting in the Firmware Number obtained
via the Axel Universal Target Address Manager.
4. Once you have received the code via email, enter it in the "Plug Activation Key" field and press SEND, as shown in
the figure below, in the yellow ring.
5. Press SEND; the system will respond with a message advising you to turn the power supply of the connected
target off then on again to apply the changes.
6.You will now be able to use the RDS functions and the RDS MONITOR PAGE will appear as follows:
