- User's Authorization Required : when this parameter is set the remote control must be
accepted by the current user of the thin client.
- Text Mode (TCP Port) : remote control only for text-based session (thin client set-up, telnet,
5250 & 3270)
- VNC Mode (TCP Port) : global remote control
- Password (optional): this password will be requested when the connection is established.

b) Telnet Set-Up
This functionality allows the thin client set-up to be addressed by a telnet client.
The single parameter is the TCP port (4096 by default).
For more information, refer to Chapter 10.3.
3.2.8 - Security
Select the [Configuration]-[Terminal]-[Security] dialog box:
a) Local Desktop Access
The local desktop access can be open or restricted by an Active Directory logon
For an Active Directory ' Authentication ', the Active Directory environment must be first set-up (see
Chapter 3.1.6). A ' Default Username ' can be specified.
After logging off from a server the thin client can offer the following from the ' No Active Session '
option:
- Do Nothing.
- Disconnect (only with an AD Logon): the AD session is closed (i.e. local desktop) and the AD
Logon is displayed.
- Shutdown (only with M90)
Note : the ' Authentication ' and ' Default Username ' options can't be modified when an AD session
is in use.
b) Set-Up Access
Access to the set-up menus can be controlled by a password. Select [Edit] to set, change or delete
the set-up password:
