Registration
attempts
The number of attempts for the SMC Agent to connect to the SMC Server. You
should keep the default value "-1" for continuous attempt.
Registration delay
The time interval for the Agent to start, after the OS on client computers starts, to
avoid traffic overload.
Drop events
The type of events (
Info
or
Info & Warning
) the Agent would not forward, to reduce
the traffic and the size of the Events Manager’s database.
Events commit
interval
The time interval for the services to send the events to the Event Manager. The
events are not sent immediately, but are collected in order to ease network traffic.
Server
communication
The mechanism used for Agents to retrieve data from the Server:
Push
, for clients
in a local area network;
Pull
, for clients with firewall.
Pull interval
Server connect interval, in minutes, when the Pull mechanism is active. Default is
60.
Signal Error on
critical event
When activated, the Agent signals every critical event to the Server, which will
display an error state for the affected computer.
