System Operation
The following special features must be considered when operating FebriScan to ensure
correct operation.
The faces of users must not be covered or obscured by objects of any kind. This
includes prescription or sun glasses as well as hair or coverings. For precise
measurement, the inner area of the eyes and the forehead above the bridge of
the nose are relevant.
If an elevated body temperature of a person is detected by Febriscan, it must be
verified separately with a clinical thermometer after the measurement. The
procedure with persons in whose case an increased body temperature was
detected is the responsibility of the respective system operator.
We recommend that the relative humidity in the area of the test be kept below
50% and the temperature below 24°C. This must be ensured with external
measuring devices. If the values are above the specified limits, perspiration in the
user's facial area can falsify the detection of body temperature, as the affected
areas are cooled down.
Air currents in the area of the measurement should be avoided, as these can
falsify the measurement result.
Reflected infrared radiation, i.e. strong heat sources of any kind in the area of the
measuring point, must also be avoided or shaded if necessary.
Once the system has been set up, you can start using the system. The test procedure is
described below.
Please note that for precise measurements the blackbody needs about 15
minutes to run stable at the preset temperature of 40°C.
User should enter the inspection area and position himself with his face towards
the camera (the green foot stickers on the floor provide assistance for rough
alignment).
o
The system statuses "Wait for new person" and "Person detection" change
to green.
