The wireless network is disabled.

The wireless network is activated.
In order to control the STERN via app, the wireless network has to be set to
active. If you do not intend to use the network control, keep the wireless net-
work disabled.
The status bar on the top right edge of the display informs you on the status of
the wireless network connection (see section 'Display' on page 19):

Wireless network module is disabled.
Wireless network module is active and provides a stand-alone
access point (see section 'Setting up the Access Point Mode' on
page 55).
Wireless network module is active and connected to the selected
wireless network (see section 'Connecting to a wireless network'
on page 53). The number of blue bars correspond to the received
signal strength.
Wireless module is active and executes an action. The text to the
left of the symbol indicates the type of action:

Module starts up

Search for wireless networks in the vicinity

Logging onto the selected network in progress
