Balance 

 

Adjust the balance by using the rotary encoder   on the front panel. Turn it 
clockwise to shift the balance to the right. The display shows the volume differ-
ence in dB between the left and the right channel. A positive value stands for a 
balance shifted to the right. 

Turn the rotary encoder counter clockwise to shift the balance to the left. The 
value in the display turns negative. 

STERN allows a shift of the balance up to 9 dB to the left or the right. 

The displayed bar graph visualises a balance shift to the left or the right side with 
a blue rectangle. 

  Note 

•

 

 A balance shift is carried out internally by attenuating the corresponding chan-
nel. If the balance is shifted to the right, the level of the left channel is atten-
uated and vice versa.
