Restoring the default settings
This function resets the handset and base station settings to their status on leaving the factory. The phone book,
caller list (CLIP) and all phone numbers in the redialling list are deleted.
Default settings:
Language: English
Name of handset: DECT8048
Battery warning tone: On
Automatic answering: On
Range warning signal: On
External ringing melody: 3
Key tone: On
Internal ringing melody: 1
Receiver volume: 3
Ringing volume, handset: 3
Pin code: 0 0 0 0
Ringing melody, base station: 2
Pause : 3 sec.
Ringing volume, base station: 3
Dialling method: DTMF/Tone

4. Enter the PIN code (default setting 0000) via the digit keys and confirm by pressing

6. The default settings are restored after a short time. The display then indicates the equipment is ready to
operate.
Note:
If you forget the PIN code, you can reset the default settings without the PIN code.
1. Remove the battery from the handset.
2. Press and hold the

button and insert the battery again. Press and hold the
*
button until DEFAULT
appears in the display.
3. Confirm by pressing
B
and the default factory settings are reset. The process can be cancelled at any
time by pressing the
F
button.

Registering and deregistering handsets
A further handset can be registered on the base station. The maximum number of registrations is 4 handsets or 3
handsets and 1 alarm unit.
