After the internal call has been taken by the handset called, the following options are available:
A. Consultation / Brokering: You can talk to the party using the other handset and then return the external caller by
pressing the
I
button. You can switch between the external and internal parties as often as necessary.
B. Transfer call: Press the Call button
C
on the first handset. The external call is transferred to the handset called.

Dialling phone numbers stored in the phone book
After phone numbers have been stored, they can be called quickly and easily. The procedure to store phone
numbers in the phone book is described in Chapter 5.1.
1. Press the phone book button
F
. The first stored phone number appears in the display. Further phone
numbers appear according to the alphabetical order of the names assigned to them.
2. Use the
D
and
E
buttons to scroll through and select the entries stored in the phone book. To select a
phone number alphabetically through the name, enter the corresponding first letters of the name using the
digit keys on the phone.
3. Press the Call button
C
and the phone number displayed is automatically dialled.

Displaying the call timer
The duration of a call is displayed in minutes and seconds during the call. 15 seconds after dialling, the display of the
number dialled is replaced by the call timer. When the call is ended, the timer remains in the display for a few
seconds.

Switching the handset on /off
Press and hold the
R
button until the handset is switched off. When the handset is switched off, no battery power
is used. No calls can be received. Press the
R
button once to switch the handset on again or place it back in the
base station. The message BASE 1 appears in the display and the handset is switched on again.

Notes on range
The handset has a range of approx. 50 meters in closed rooms and approx. 300 meters outdoors. When the
connection to the base station is good, the
l
icon appears in the display. If the handset is moved too far from the
base station, the
l
icon flashes and acoustic warning signals are issued. Move nearer to the base station, otherwise
the call will be disconnected. The acoustic warning signals can be deactivated as described in Chapter 8.8.

Muting the microphone in the handset
Press the
A
button to deactivate the handset microphone during a call. This means you can consult with someone,
for example, without the caller being able to hear. The loudspeaker in the handset remains switched on, so that you
can continue to hear the caller.

button during a call. The message MUTE appears in the display.
