The viewing level selected will set the parental lock level for the entire video disc. For
example, a disc rated 7 cannot be played if the parental lock is set at 3. The following
viewing levels indicate their movie rating equivalence: Level 1 – G, Level 3 – PG, Level
4 – PG 13, Level 5 – R, and Level 7 – NC.

Press the arrow bar to select the desired viewing level. Press ENTER to accept the level
lock and exit this screen. The Set-up menu will reappear. Press SET UP to exit the
menu.

To change the security code, press SET UP while the DVD is in stop mode. Press the
number 9 on the numerical pad to enter the parental lock screen. Press the CLEAR
button as each number of the security code appears. Use the numerical pad to enter a
new four-digit code and press ENTER. Press the left arrow bar to set the lock to the ON
position. Press ENTER. Press the arrow bar to select the applicable country standards
that were used to rate the disc. Press ENTER. Press the up arrow bar or down arrow bar
to select the viewing level. Press ENTER. The Set-up menu will reappear. Press SET
UP to exit the menu.

To cancel the parental lock feature, press SET UP while the DVD is in stop mode. Press
the number 9 on the numerical number pad two times to enter the parental lock screen.
Enter the four-digit security code and press ENTER. Press the right arrow to select OFF
and press ENTER. The Set-up menu will appear. Press SET UP to exit the menu.
