1114  MODE BUTTON SETUP

The mode button has 8 functions as previously described.  You can choose to eliminate any or all of these
functions using this setup menu.

Press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds until the display shows
CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1114 and press Sel  The display will show MODE BUTTON, then SETUP then TONE
CONTRL.  Use the play Sel button to scroll through the eight choices.  The Up button will turn the mode on
indicated by a * on the right of the display.  The Dn button will turn the mode off indicated by a space on the
right of the display.  Changes are immediate.  Once the mode button is setup, it may be uploaded to other
MC-6011, MC-5500, MC-4500 keypads from the PROGRAM ALL function.

1115 CLOCK SET

The MC-6011 can be used to set the system clock (CMB-1).  You can also use this setup feature to
determine if this keypad displays time in 12 or 24 hour mode.  There are several steps that permit you to
set the year, hours, minutes, month, date, day and clock mode (12 or 24 hour).

To enter the Clock Set mode, press and hold the Mode button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE
_ _ _ _.  Enter 1115 and press the Sel button.  The Display will read CLOCK SET.  Press the >> or <<
buttons to change the year.  Use the > button to advance to SET HOURS.  Again, use the >> or << buttons
to change the hour.  If you wish to advance to the next setup, use the > button.  To go back to the previous
setup, use the || button.  Press > to SET MINUTES and use the >> and << buttons to change the minutes.
Press > to SET MONTH and use the >> and << buttons to select the proper month.  Use the > button to
advance to SET DATE and use the >> and << buttons to select the proper date.  Press the > button to SET
DAY and use the >> and << buttons to set the right day of the week.  Press the > button to SET 12-24 HR
and use the >> and << to toggle between 12 HOUR MODE and 24 HOUR MODE.  Press Mode to exit.  All
changes are stored in the CMB-1 System Clock in real time.  12/24 hour mode is for the keypad only.

1116 ROOM SET (ZONE SET)

The MC-6011 will need to be assigned to control the proper room.  To do so, press and hold the Mode
button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1116 and press the Sel button.  The
display will read SET ROOM #, where the number indicates its current zone setting.  Use the >> and <<
buttons to change the room (zone) number if necessary.  When the correct room number is displayed,
press the Mode button.  The keypad will confirm ROOM = # where the number is now the new zone
number and then return to displaying that zone’s current status.

1117 1200 BAUD RATE

Typically, the MC-6011 as well as all other keypads, ADA Bus devices and system mainframe components
will be set to operate at ADA’s standard baud rate of 19,200.  However, on rare occasions, you may run a
system at the slower 1200 baud rate.  Prior to doing so, it is suggested that you consult with ADA regard-
ing this matter.  None the less, if you need to alter the baud rate of the MC-6011, press and hold the Mode
button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1117 and press the Sel button.  The
display will indicate 1200 BAUD.

1118 19,200 BAUD RATE

Typically, the MC-6011 as well as all other keypads, ADA Bus devices and system mainframe components
will be set to operate at ADA’s standard baud rate of 19,200.  However, if your keypad has been set to the
slower 1200 baud rate and you need to reset it to the standard 19,200 baud rate, press and hold the Mode
button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1118 and press the Sel button.  The
display will indicate 19200 BAUD.
