SETUP MENUS

All setup mode features require the entry of a four digit code.  Press and hold the Mode button for five
seconds until the display reads CODE _ _ _ _.  Use the Up and Dn buttons to select the first numeric
number and then press the Sel button to advance the cursor.  Repeat the numeric entry until the code
number is displayed and then press the Sel button.

1110 NIGHT LIGHT ON AND OFF TOGGLE

The MC-6011 can be set to one of two states when the zone is off.  The standard operational state is Night
Light On.  When the keypad is in a Room Off state, the Up and Dn buttons are lit green and since another
room is on, the Off button is lit red.  When in an All Off State, the Up, Dn and Off buttons are lit green.

In the Night Light On state, the Off button is lit red when the room is off and another room is still on.
However, when the system is in an All Off state, all of the keypad’s buttons are off.  Only the blue 12
character display is on (dimmed).  Once the zone is turned on, the keypad buttons all light green.  As such,
if you want an MC-6011 to be as dark as possible when the system is in All Off, you can individually set
each MC-6011 for the Night Light On option.

To toggle between these two options, press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds until the display
shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1110 and then press Sel.  The display will show either NIGHT LT ON or
NIGHT LT OFF.

If the keypad needs to be as dark as possible even when the zone or any other zone is on, see blanking
mode under code 1113.

KEYPAD TEST MODE

The MC-6011 can be set to a test mode in which pressing the buttons will cause the display to provide text
information even if the MC-6011 is connected to only a power source.  To enter this mode, press and hold
the Mode button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter the code 1111 and press the
Sel button.  Press keypad buttons.  To exit press the Mode button.

1112 IR RECEIVER ON AND OFF TOGGLE

The MC-6011 features a built in IR receiver.  Because the IR receivers can interfere with keypad program-
ming from your PC or even Program All functions, as well as getting interference from infrared emitting
sources such as lighting fixtures, displays and sunlight, ADA will typically ship the MC-6011s with their IR
receivers in the off state.  To turn them on or to toggle between on and off, press and hold the mode button
for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter the code 1112 and then press Sel.  The display
will indicate the new state of the IR receiver, either IR ON or IR OFF.

1113 BLANKING MODE

The MC-6011 can be set so that after no function or no feedback update has been activated on the keypad
after 5 seconds, the MC-6011 goes completely dark.  This does not mean that the keypad does not work.
Pressing any keypad function will activate the display and button LEDs.  Even feedback updating (for
example, when songs change on an XM Radio station) will cause the keypad to wake up.  Naturally, after
a few seconds, it goes dark again.  To toggle between normal operation or Blanking Mode, press and hold
the Mode button for 5 seconds until the display shows CODE _ _ _ _.  Enter 1113 and press the Sel button.
The display will indicate the keypad’s new mode, either BLANKING ON or BLANKING OFF.
