Statement of use
This product is designed for chipping, riveting, scaling, or
ramming, according to its operating instructions. No other
use permitted. For professional use only.
Product specific instructions
General
If different RRH 04/06/08P models are in use at the
same workplace all 1.7 mm wire retainers (black) shall
be withdrawn and replaced by 2.0 mm wire retainers
(yellow) on all hammers. This is due of safety reasons,
i.e. to prevent mixing up the retainers and using the
wrong type on the wrong hammer model.
Installation of vibrating tools
We recommend using a minimum length of 300 mm (12") of
flexible hose for compressed air between a vibrating tool and
the quick-action coupling.
Setting-up instructions
Check the tool before starting work
• Always use a retainer.
• Inspect the retainer for wear and damage regularly.
• The tool and its accessories must not be modified in any
way.
• The trigger must never be removed or fixed by tape for
example.
• If the trigger is not working properly, make sure that it is
replaced.
• The air supply coupling should be separated from the
tool by a whip hose.
Personal protection equipment
Make sure to wear:
• Eye protection, goggles or a visor.
• Ear protection.
• Gloves.
• Steel toe-capped shoes.
• A helmet (for heavier applications).
• Avoid loosely hanging clothing, hair, jewellery (risk of
getting caught).
Operation instructions
Working area
• Ensure that the area in which you are working is kept
free from other people so that no one can get injured.
• People nearby must also wear hearing and eye protec-
tion.
• Check that there is good ventilation and dust extraction
from the premises.
• There should be a stand or a place available, on which
the machine can be safely placed.
• Work within a sealed-off area, if possible with protecting
walls.
• Explosive atmosphere must not be ignited - use acces-
sories of non-sparking material.
• Avoid chiselling into electric wiring hidden inside walls.
During work
• Before changing accessories, chisel or die, disconnect
the tool from the air supply,
• Stop using the tool if abnormally loud noises and vibra-
tions occur during use.
• Be aware that the chisel may break during operation.
• Never trigger a hammer unless held against the work
piece.
• Use vibration dampened tools if available.
• Reduce the total time of exposure to vibrations, espe-
cially if the chisel has to be guided by hand.
• Release the start and stop device in case of interruption
of energy supply
