Chapter 4. Remote Operation

Setup

Click the

Setup

icon to configure the VM1616T’s IP and serial settings, and to

name all the ports in your installation.

IP Setup

The Web Setup settings enable you to configure the VM1616T’s Web interface
connection. Changes take a few seconds and automatically redirect you to the
IP address specified.

Enter values and then click Save or Clear. Click

Default Setting

to use the

following defaults:

IP Address

– 192.168.0.60

Subnet Mask

– 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway

– 192.168.0.1

Website Timeout

– 5 minutes

Note:

This option controls how long an inactive Web connection stays
logged in to the VM1616T. Any changes will take effect
immediately.

Telnet Configuration

Enable the checkbox if you want the VM1616T to receive commands on Port
23 for telnet use. See

Telnet Operation

, page 44, for further details.

Note:

The VM1616T must be power cycled for a change in the Telnet
configuration block to take effect.
