Enter Password
If the VM1616T has been configured to require a password for local operation
(see
Security Mode
, page 28], when the password screen is accessed, the cursor
flashes on the first digit. Enter a 4-digit password to continue to the Main
Screen.
Note:
If you are accessing the VM1616T for the first time, the default
password is 1234.
To enter a password, do the following:
1. Use the front panel Out dial and turn it clockwise (right) or
counterclockwise (left) to move the cursor.
2. Use the front panel In dial to cycle through the numbers. Turn it clockwise
(ascending from 0, 1, 2 .... 9) or counterclockwise (descending from 0, 9, 8
....1).
3. Press and Release Out/In/Enter pushbuttons to confirm the password and
continue to the Main Screen.
Note:
1. If you enter an incorrect password, re-enter the correct password
over the incorrect string.
2. If Password Required (see
Security Mode
, page 28) is enabled,
the timeout is 5 minutes.
