Message playback
To listen to messages on a cordless handset:
1. When the handset is in idle mode, press
MENU/
�ELECT
to
enter the main menu.
2. Press
MENU
/�ELECT
again to select
�lay messages
.
If there are new and old messages, press
q
CID
or
p
DIR
to select
�lay new msgs
or
�lay old msgs
,
then press
MENU/
�ELECT
.
If there are only new or only old messages, they will
play automatically.
The system announces the number of messages, then
begins playback. The message sequence is shown on the
handset. If there are no recorded messages, the handset
shows
No messages
and you hear,
“You have no message.”
Options during playback
When a message is playing, you can adjust the playback volume, skip, repeat,
pause or delete the message.
When messages are playing on the telephone base:
Press
q
/VOLUME/
p
to adjust the message playback volume.
Press

to skip to the next message.
Press
/RE�EAT
to repeat the message. Press twice to hear the
previous message.
Press
X/DELETE
to delete the message.
Press

�LAY
/�TO�
to stop the playback.
Press

to stop playback. The screen shows
Call back?
, then
press
MENU
/�ELECT
,
or
/��EA�ER

to call back the caller if the caller’s
number is available. If the dialing format used is not correct, then use the
option below to choose the correct dialing format before calling back
the caller.
Press

to pause playback and show the caller ID information
if available. From here, you can press
CANCEL
to resume playback,
or press

(pound key) repeatedly to show the desired dialing option
(page 72), then press
/��EA�ER
��EA�ER
to call back the caller. If you do not
call back within ten seconds, message playback resumes automatically.
