Switching on and power setting
Th
e cooking zones have 9 levels. In addition, there is a ‘boost’ setting,
which can be recognized by a ‘P’ on the display (see page 13; ‘Boost’).
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Press the on-/off button
of the hob.
A single beep will be heard and on the display of each cooking zone
‘0.’ will appear. Th
e red light to the top right of the on-/off button
is
constantly on. If you do not undertake any further action, the cooking
zone will automatically switch off after 10 seconds.

With the or
button, set the desired cooking zone in the
desired setting. Th
e hob automatically starts in the set setting
(if a pan is detected).

If you press the
button for the fi rst time, setting ‘4’ will appear.

If you press the
button for the fi rst time, setting ‘9’ will appear.
Tip
You can press and hold the
or
button to set the desired power
more quickly.
Pan detection
If the hob doesn’t detect a(n) (iron-containing) pan after a cooking
power has been set, on the display both the pan detection symbol
and the set power will both keep on fl ashing and the cooking zone
will remain cold. When no (iron-containing) pan is placed within one
minute, the cooking zone will switch off automatically (also refer to
pages 10 and 11; “Pans”).
Residual heat indicator
If a cooking zone has been used intensively it will retain heat for
several minutes afterwards. As long as the cooking zone is still hot an
“H” will be visible in the display.
