Filter Assembly Removal
! WARNING !
Hot oil can cause personal injury. Make sure the oil is
cool before removing any components or lines.
Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is
stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with
your bare hand.
Note: During disassembly, cap all hoses and fittings to
prevent fluid loss and contamination of the system fluids.

1. Remove the hose from the left side of the filter
assembly. Cap hose and fitting.

2. Remove the hose from the front of the filter as-
sembly. Cap hose and fitting.

3. Remove the hose from the right side of the filter
assembly. Cap hose and fitting.

4. Remove the two bolts that secure the filter as-
sembly to the reservoir.

5. Pull the filter assembly out of the reservoir.
