The onboard PCI Express x16 slots provides x16 link to the 5500 IOH. This slot

supports VGA cards and various server class high performance add-on cards. The

slot switches to x8 link automatically if the slot location 5 is occupied.

The onboard PCI Express x8 andd x4 slots provide x8 link and x4 link to the 5500
