High Security Mode

Security levels
The
HSM
mode has a three-stage structure:
· KMAK authorisation key (highest security level, not replaceable)
· CMAK authorisation key (Master)
· PAK authorisation key
KMAK authorisation key
The KMAK authorisation key is required when the master needs to be replaced (e.g. in the case of loss). It
can only be ordered from KESO.
If a new master is created, the authorisation data of all electronics must be updated by reading with the
Programming device
.

Total loss in the case of loss of the KMAK authorisation key:
The KMAK authorisation key cannot be
copied or replaced.

· Keep the KMAK authorisation key in a safe place (e.g. in a safe).
CMAK authorisation key (Master)
The CMAK authorisation key is required to generate PAK authorisation keys.
The master can be generated from any KEK user key. The user key is reprogrammed with
k-entry
®
. The
Master can only be assigned once in
k-entry
®
.
For security reasons, the user key reprogrammed as the master loses its access authorisation to the
electronic locking system.
ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG
recommends ordering the Master from KESO. This key is then automatically
labelled “Master”.

recommends keeping the master in a safe place (e.g. in a safe).
PAK authorisation key
The PAK authorisation key is required to program and read out electronics.
The PAK authorisation keys can be generated from any KEK user keys. The user key is reprogrammed with
k-entry
®
. Up to ten PAK authorisation keys can be defined for each locking system.
The PAK authorisation keys retain their access authorisations in the locking system. The PAK authorisation
keys have the same access rights as the normal user keys.
If a new PAK authorisation key is created, the authorisation data of all electronics must be updated by
reading with the
Programming device.
