Operation
Emergency opening of a KEK product
An emergency opening is required, for example, if the batteries in an electronic fitting or cylinder are
depleted. The
Programming device
then supplies the necessary voltage and the command for opening.
Implementation of emergency openings
1 Connect
the
Programming device
with the electronic fitting or the control electronics (Fig. 17) using a
KAPI cable

Authorise yourself with an Ident medium (Fig. 7, page 55).

The door is opened.
Emergency Opening with a KAPI cable
A system key or a PAK authorisation key is required for emergency opening. With a KAPI cable – with blue
or red markings – a connection to the electronics to be controlled is established. In the display, the

shows the connection type KAPI.
