Impor tant!
Property damage and impaired function due to incorrect lubrication:
Do not lubricate the inside of the
lock. Do not spray any lubricants into the lock.
The
electric security lock 809M
is maintenance-free. If necessary, grease the gliding surface of the latch with
a thin layer of silicone grease.
An emergency exit door must be inspected for safe functionality in intervals no longer than one month. In
particular observe the following:
· Inspect and operate all function of the lock; in doing so, ensure that all parts of the locking device (lock
and striking plate) function safely.
· All parts of the locking device must be clean in order to prevent jamming and blocking.
· A fire door may not be retroactively modified; no additional locking devices may be added.
· Check whether all components of the system continue to comply with the list of original approved
components supplied with the system.
· Check whether all operating elements are securely mounted.
· Measure the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock with a dynamometer and log the results.
Check that the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock have not changed significantly since the
first installation.
Warranty
The legal warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact one of our subsidiaries in your
country. The addresses can be found on the rear side of this manual.
Any claim to warranty is voided if the product has been opened. No warranty can be assumed with the use
of lubricants and accessory parts other than those mentioned in this manual. Any damage caused through
normal wear, overloading or incorrect use are excluded from the warranty.
The following documentation must be sent in with the device for a warranty claim:
· A copy of the invoice with purchase date.
· A description of the defect or grounds for complaint.
Disposal
Packaging materials must be recycled. The product is to be disposed of as electronic scrap.
Environmental protection regulations must be complied with.
