7. HOW TO TRANSMIT ECG EXAMINATION BY FAX
Switch on the unit with the use of
key.
To send ECG examination by fax you have to prepare:
- AsCARD unit with RS modem cable (produced by Aspel),
- modem that works like fax in class 2 or 2.0,
- telephone connected to the telephone line.
For the purpose of sending ECG data, the fax modem has to have the possibility to
work in class 2 or 2.0. Check the class of the fax modem you use in its operation
manual. Set the same class in AsCARD unit - see Configuration mode, chapter 6.
Connect the fax modem to the electrocardiograph with the use of RS modem cable
and to the telephone line. Make sure that there is an auto examination saved in the
unit.
Press the
key. The display shows:
Model A
After modem initialisation the display shows:
Choose the fax number with the use of telephone keyboard. If there is fax signal
given - press the
key.
Model B
(for the receiving fax working in auto mode)
After modem initialisation the display shows:
FAX :
Choose the fax number with the use of alphanumeric keyboard of ECG unit. Accept
