Thermistor Fan
1. Function
• The fan
thermistor
senses the temperature of exhaust air.
• The higher the temperature is, the smaller the resistance is.
2. Specification
• A bimetal thermostat with the terminals normally c losed
at 90°C : R = 4.43 k
Ω
at 40°C : R = 26.07 k
Ω
• Type name : CWT-DWE-1C18-A
3. Checking method of malfunction
• If the resistance between terminals is within the adequate range, the fan is in normal operation.
• You can test the resistance of the thermistor as follows.
- Put the metal rod into cold water 50~68°F (10~20°C): 40 within 30 seconds
- Put the metal rod into boiling water 205~212°F (95~100°C): 4 within 30 seconds
• If ‘H2’ error is displayed when you press the power and start button, the thermistor is not c losed so
replace it.
4. Procedure of replacement

Remove Upper Frame

Remove
Drum Ass embly

Check the position of the part.
7
Remove wires and 1 screw to detach the part.
8
Assemble the parts in reverse order.
