7 Faults and their Rectification
7.1 Fault rectification
Always disconnect the power plug before starting any repair work!
Fault
Cause
Remedy
Burner does not ignite
Main gas supply valve is closed
Open main gas supply valve
Burner does not ignite
Piezo igniter is faulty
Replace piezo igniter
The pilot flame can be
ignited but it does not last
Control knob not in the correct
position or not pressed long enough
or hard enough
Hold down control knob in ignition position
at the end stop for about 10 seconds
Irregular flame pattern
Burner is dirty
Remove burner and clean it
Clear out the holes with a pin or needle X
Smell of gas
Pipes, connecting components leaky Knob in 0 position, close main tap
A repair may only be performed by trained, qualified specialists. Please give us the appliance number
and the type designation that are on the appliance type plate. The plate is located on the front cover A of
the appliance (see connection diagram).
