Installing Network Drivers
Other Operating Systems
In general, the adapter supports a network operating system (NOS) that
works with NDIS and ODI drivers. For instructions on installing and config-
uring the adapter with other operating systems, refer to the INSTALL.TXT
files in each specific NOS subdirectory on the Driver Disk.

The same installed driver can be used for 10Mbps
or 100Mbps operation with the AsantéFast 10/100 PCI
Rev B. Adapter.
Installing Network Specific Drivers
Novell NetWare 3.12 Client
This section explains how to install Novell NetWare version 3.12 ODI client
software.

NOTE:
If you want to use the Netware DOS Requester,
use the Novell Client Install Disks.

Create a directory named
NWCLIENT
on your C drive.

Insert the Asante PCI Network Driver Disk into drive A and
change to the subdirectory
NETWARE\NW312\CLIENT
.

Copy the following files from the Driver Disk to the
NWCLIENT
directory on your C drive:
LSL.COM
NET.CFG
L100.COM

You will need to download the following files from Novell:
IPXODI.COM
and
NETX.COM

Check your
CONFIG.SYS
file to make sure that the following line
appears:
DEVICE=C:\DOS\SETVER.EXE
assuming that
\DOS
is
the directory where you have all your
DOS
files including
SET-
VER.EXE
.

Remove the Asante PCI Network Driver Disk from drive A.
