Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES REMEDIES
There is no output, but
the motor runs
Manual override engaged.
Valve stem broken.
When the manual override
is engaged, the motor will
run, but no output will be
observed until the manual
override re-engages with
the output shaft
When the valve stem is
broken, there will not be a
change in fluid movement,
making it seem as if the
actuator has no output..
No response from
valve/actuator
No power source to
actuator
No signal to actuator
Power source
disconnected
Low or wrong power
source
Mechanical Brake
jammed or misaligned Check for power
Check “Fault Indicator
Check for broken wire,
loose connection
Check for proper voltage
Check alignment of brake
Motor hums and no
output is observed
Foreign material caught
in valve
Capacitor worn Remove material and
inspect valve for
damaged and/or worn
parts. Replace parts as
necessary
Replace capacitor
No response from unit
(All lights are off.)
No power
Excessive voltage applied
to unit.
Blown or missing fuse Check power source.
Replace unit.
Replace with appropriate
fuse; see "Specifications"
in manual.
