Installing the Chassis
Chapter 2
Verifying the Installation
Once the 800-E Access Multiplexer is physically installed, run the following
power-on test:
1. Check for the proper power indicators.
Immediately upon power up, you should observe the following:
z
The system Power LED lights solid green
z
The system Status LED is initially off while booting
2. Check the fans to verify they are working.
You should be able to feel significant airflow blowing from the chassis vents
at each of the three fan positions.
3. Check for the appropriate operation indicators.
Once the system has successfully booted, you should observe the following:
z
The system Power LED is solid green.
z
The system Status LED is solid green.

: For more information on LED behavior, see “Physical Description & LEDs”
on page 34 .
Once the system has passed the initial power-up test:
z
Connect appropriate network cables (see Appendix A, “Ports,” on
page 33 for port and cable information).
4. You are now ready to perform the initial setup as described in the Aruba
Quick Start Guide (which is included in the Accessory Kit) .

AUTION
: If one or more fans do not work, immediately shut down
and replace the 800-E Access Multiplexer.
