If the dimensions of the unit prevent this or in order to improve
reception, you can opt to use the square BNC connector. Twist
the aerial to optimise reception.
CAUTION
•
If the ART 1.4 is positioned in a metal container or cage (e.g.
reinforced concrete), the RF aerial must be positioned outside
this container. Only use a quality COAX cable of 50 ohm to
extend the aerial connection. To restrict loss in the cable, the
maximum length of the COAX cable should be 10m. Your
technician will be glad to provide you with advice on this. E.g.

FM aerial :
You can use the FM aerial supplied. Plug this into the connector intended
for this purpose (Fig 1-4)

Configuration of the device with one or more RF remote
controls
To operate the ART 2.4 with the RF handheld transmitter on its own,
proceed as follows in order for the ART 2.4 to identify the hand
transmitter:
•
Hold down the set-up button for about 3
seconds until the LEDs start to flash in all
zones.
•
The device is now ready to read in the
address of the remote control.
