Controls
The controls for bed exit detection are located on the
outside of the foot end side rail.
Bed exit detection controls
Enable
On/Off/Reset
To enable bed exit detection:
Press the
Enable
key then the
On/Off/Reset
key. The
indicator above the key will light green.
If the patient leaves the bed, the indicator above the
On/Off/Reset
key will light red and an alarm will sound
on the bed.
If the bed is connected to a suitable nurse call system, the
alarm will also be indicated at the nurse’s station. Refer to
the instructions for use provided with the nurse call
system.
To cancel the alarm or disable bed exit detection:
Press the
Enable
key then the
On/Off/Reset
key. The
indicator above the key will go out and all alarms and
indications will be cleared.
