Cleaning and Disinfection Instructions
Thorough disinfection routines are necessary to stop the bacterial growth on the equipment. Effective
disinfection as outlined below reduces the risk of cross-contamination between residents.
WARNING
To prevent injuries, always wear protection for eye, hand and clothing when handling cleaning
products. Cleaning products must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Disinfection methods should comply with local or national guidelines (Decontamination of Medical Devices),
depending on Healthcare Facility or country of use. If uncertain, consult local Infection Control specialist.

Always Follow These Steps for Cleaning and Disinfection

(6 steps)
1. Detach the Arjo Strap Stretcher from the lift.
2. Rinse to remove any deposits or visible dirt from
the Strap Stretcher, if needed.
3. Wipe the parts using a solution containing one of
the compatible disinfectants listed under “Allowed
Disinfectants” on page
19.
4. Allow contact time according to the cleaning
agent manufacturer’s IFU.
5. Rinse to remove chemical residue, if stated in the
cleaning agent manufacturer’s IFU.
6. Air dry at room temperature.
Cross Straps and Dual-Loop Straps
(3 steps)
1. Detach the Arjo Strap Stretcher from the lift.
2. Rinse to remove any deposits or visible dirt from
the Strap Stretcher, if needed.
3. Launder the Dual-Loop Straps and Cross Straps
as per the following care instructions:
• Washing temperature must not exceed 80°C
(176°F)
• Always use mild detergents
• Never wring, press or iron
• Never bleach
• Rinse thoroughly
• Never tumble dry or dry clean
• Never place in contact with a heat source
