HYBRID MODULE electrical connections
Before carrying out any work on the system, shut off the power supply
at the main switch. Comply with the neutral and phase connections.
To access the HYBRID MODULE electrical panel, remove the four
screws shown in fi gure (A) and remove the electrical panel cover
(B). connect the bus cable with the orange connector placed behind
the control box to the bus connection of the boiler and make the
connection to the low and high voltage termonal blocs described
below.
RS 485 - Communication with the external unit. Observe the polarities.
The marking “

” on the terminal block refers to connection

on the heat pump,

refers to connection

on the heat pump.
ANODE - Boiler Protech anode connection (NIMBUST FLEX).
Observe the electrical polarities.
TA1
- Ambient thermostat connection, zone 1.

- Ambient thermostat connection, zone 2.

- External temperature sensor connection.

- Storage cylinder sensor connection (NIMBUST FLEX).

IN-AUX - Auxiliary input connection (disabled)
PV
- 230V input (see par. 9.0.7 - 9.0.8). To be connected to the
PV energy counter output. The contact has to be closed
when the PV energy production is above the threshold set
on the energy counter.
AUX 2

Auxiliary output connection dry contact (see par. 9.1.7)
EDF
- Low tariff input (230V). If a 230Vac signal is applayed the
low tariff defi ned by par. 9.2.5. will be taken in to accunt.
OUT-AUX - Auxiliary output connectiondry contact (see par. 9.1.6)
ST1
- Safety thermostat connection (230 V)
for under-fl oor system (shunt connection).
PM AUX- Auxiliary pump connection.
V1
- Diverter valve connection for domestic water circuit
(NIMBUS
FLEX).
V2
- Diverter valve connection for cooling circuit
(disabled)
The cables cross-section and lengths must be sized according to the
power indicated on the HYBRID MODULE data plate. Ensure that
the power cables are tightened suffi ciently in order to avoid them
overheating.
Boiler system settings
For boiler systems with storage cylinder sensors, carry out the
following steps:
1) Disconnect the boiler 3-way valve motor
2) Disconnect the boiler storage cylinder sensor (where present)
3) Select parameter
2.2.8 Boiler version
and set value “Ext. storage
tank with thermostat”.
Instant boiler settings
For instant boilers, carry out the following steps:
- Select parameter
2.5.0 Comfort function
and set value
“Disabled”.
WARNING
Once you have completed the connections between the HYBRID
MODULE and external unit, replace both electrical panels.
