SETTING SMOOTHING LEVEL
Choose from:

level 1 to 6

switch off smoothing
−
switch on cordal height
Before the final vectors are sent, all vectors are internally added until a
certain minimum vector length is reached (factory setting level 2). Level
6 generates the highest smoothing.
Note: If using sign systems with ARISTOMAT plotter drivers it is recom-
mended to switch off smoothing.
If switching on cordal filter all vectors are internally added until a certain
maximum permissible contour divergence is reached.
The cordal height is defined by settings of circle resolution in menu or via
HPGL.
Switching on SPEEDBOOSTER
Dynamic switching with vector preview is turned on. Speed profile is
changed and smooth movements are produced.
Note: If using smoothing levels or the Speedbooster, you may suffer a
loss of contour accuracy.
SPLINE
For smoothing of curved movements this spline function was implement-
ed. Reference points of the cutting edge are connected by a smoothing
function course.
ON/OFF: activate and deactivate the funktion.
With ADJUSTMENT/SPLINE ANGLE the angle is specified, under which
the individual vector parts are used for calculation (factory setting 10°).
SPLINE LENGTH specified the ratio of vector parts length, under which
the individual vector parts are used for calculation (factory setting 20).
SPLINE RESOL.: Resolution of spline output sensitivity (factory setting
150). The smaller the adjusted value, the data are spent the more finely.
However the speed is reduced because of the increased cost of compu-
tation.
The higher the adjusted value, the less sensitiv the output - the plot be-
come angular. In addition, a too high adjusted value can lead to a reduc-
tion of the plot speed.
