Continuously or now and then,
electrical discharges are heard
inside the x-ray generator
during exposures
High voltage transformer in slow
short circuit with creation of
gaseous bubbles.
Send the x-ray generator back
to ARDET Dental & Medical
Devices s.r.l.
Apparently the x-ray equipment
works perfectly but the x-ray
image is outlined only.
Old x-ray film
Replace the x-ray film
Developing baths cold or
exhausted
Check the baths and/or the
temperature(refer to chapter
”typical inconveniences of intra
oral films”)
X-ray tube filament is exhausted
Send the x-ray generator back
to ARDET Dental & Medical
Devices s.r.l. (this solution must
be considered only after having
verified the other two possible
causes).
Apparently the x-ray equipment
works perfectly but the x-ray
images are not satisfactory in
quality and detail (few
penetration and darkness)
Power supply less than 10% of the
nominal value
Check the electrical equipment
Timer out of calibration
Replace the timer
The spring balance arms do not
keep the position required.
Defected spring of balancing
Adjust again the compression of
the spring by means of the tube
key provided. In case of failure,
send the arms back to ARDET
