MAINTENANCE OF THE CENTRE-MOUNTED SCRAPER
Maintenance of the centre-mounted scraper consists mainly of turning
or changing blades and lubrication at regular intervals.
Turning or changing blades must be done early enough so that the
main blade will not be worn, at the latest when the gap between the
cutting edge and the free hole has worn to 25 mm.
Place supporting beams under the blade during changing the
blades to avoid damage if the centre-mounted scraper drops when
changing.
Clean and grease the centre-mounted scraper carefully before storage.
Pull the piston rods in before storage.
CENTRAL LUBRICATION SYSTEM:
(Optional extra)
It is possible to connect the centre-mounted scraper to the central
lubrication system of the vehicle. Thus lubrication of the centre-
mounted scraper occurs automatically.
