8. Clean any dirt or debris from inside
the air cleaner. Be sure no dirt enters
the carburetor.
9. Install the air filter and cover.
10. Connect the inlet boot and tighten
the clamp securely.

NOTE: If the ATV has been driven
through water, the V-belt cover
must be drained of any water.
1. Place the ATV on a level surface.
2. Remove the drain bolt from the cover
and allow the water to drain out.
3. Shift the range lever to the neutral
position; then start the engine.
4. Increase and decrease engine RPM
several times to “blow out” any
water; then stop the engine.
5. Install the drain bolt and tighten
securely.
NOTE: The V-belt and pulleys
should be inspected every 500 miles
and the belt replaced (if necessary).
Tires
Tire Tread Condition
The use of worn-out tires on an ATV is
very dangerous. A tire is considered to be
worn out when the depth of the tread is
less than 3 mm (1/8 in.). Be sure to
replace the tires before reaching this min-
imum specification.
