Starting the Engine
Always start with the ATV on a fl at, level surface. Carbon monoxide
poisoning can kill you, so keep your ATV outside while it’s running.
Follow these steps to start it up:
1. Ensure that the fuel valve is in the ON position.
2. Climb up onto the ATV and sit down.
3. Engage the brake lever lock, by moving the brake lever.
4. Shift the transmission into neutral.
5. Move the choke lever to the engaged position if starting the
engine cold (if it’s already warmed up, you shouldn’t need to
use the choke at all).
6. Turn on the ignition.
7. Press the starter button.
8. Immediately after the engine starts, move the choke lever to
the mid-position.
9. Let the engine warm up; then move the choke lever to the OFF
position.
