This part explains how to connect the battery and install it onto the handlebars.

 

ASSEMBLY—BATTERY

 

Remove the battery from its packaging. This a small bag that holds the battery 
and the motor controller. As in the  image in the upper right, the bag has five 
plugs. On the left side is the motor plug and the charger plug. On the right is 
the display (green), throttle (yellow) the pedal assistance (yellow). There are 3 
straps that are available for mounting the pouch onto the handlebars.

 

Before mounting the battery onto the handlebars, it is likely that the battery is 
physically  disconnected  inside  the  pouch  for  safe  transport.  Locate  the  two 
plugs and connect them with the arrows pointing towards each other. If yours 
look  different  than  the  photo  above,  make  sure  you  connect  red  to  red  and 
black  to  black.  Once  these  are  connected,  you  can  reinsert  the  battery  and 
motor controller back into the pouch.
