Using the Computer
Note:
The older a touch screen is, the more calibration points the advanced
calibration needs. For an optimal accuracy we suggest to use a stylus to
make the advanced calibration.
•
Plot Calibration Data
Check this function to have touch panel linearity comparison graph appear
when you finish
Advanced Calibration
. The black lines reflect the ideal
linearity assumed by PenMount’s application program while the blue lines
show the approximate linearity calculated by PenMount’s application
program as the result of user’s execution of
Advanced Calibration
.
•
Turn off EEPROM storage
This function disables the write-in of calibration data in the controller. This
function is enabled by default.
3.2 Touch Screen Settings
3.2.1 Edge Compensation Settings
Edge Compensation enables the touch screen driver to automatically locate
the touched positions around the edges of a touch screen. For example, in a
Windows system where the taskbar is hidden and needs touch at the edge to
be displayed, or in the cases you find it is difficult to touch items at the edges,
you can increase the compensation value to extend the edge.
To adjust the Edge Compensation:
1.
Launch the
PenMount Control Panel
by double-tapping the shortcut on
the dekstop.
Or, you can launch the utility by tapping
