AQUILA AT01

Aviation by Excellence AG

0.13 kg (0.28 lbs), FLARM unit only

8 to 26 VDC (recommended: 12 VDC)

55 mA at 12 VDC (normal ops., a warning
may double this value).

Vibration:

Use in conditions of strong vibration or
turbulence should be avoided or subsequently
checked prior to continued operation.

SRD-F-Band 868.0 to 868.6 MHz (Europe), other frequencies
depending upon configuration, Peak Pulse Power 10 mW
(ERP), internal /4 antenna, range approx. 2 km, possibly up
to 5km, depending upon antenna and installation.

A.

Remove FLARM Unit
(1) Ensure battery and avionics master switches are in off position.
(2) Gain access to the interior of the instrument panel by dismounting the

Instrument Panel Cover. Remove all 10 attachment screws on top (4
screws) and on both sides of the Instrument Panel Cover (3 on each side).

(3) Disconnect all plug connectors and cables. Mark the removed cables, as

required, and the installation position of the unit.

(4) Remove both attachment screws of the FLARM unit inside the instrument

panel. While removing the attachment screw secure the FLARM unit by
hand to prevent it from falling down.

(5) Carefully remove the unit.

B.

Install FLARM Unit
(1) Hold the unit correctly aligned at its installation position and install both

attachment screws from the inside of the instrument panel.

(2) Connect all required plug connectors and cables to the unit.

Make sure that all plugs and cables are properly connected.

(3) Re-install the Instrument Panel Cover.
(4) Conduct a functional test of the installed unit.

A. Remove FLARM-GPS Antenna

(1) Ensure battery and avionics master switches are in off position.
(2) Gain access to the interior of the instrument panel by dismounting the

Instrument Panel Cover. Remove all 10 attachment screws on top (4
screws) and on both sides of the Instrument Panel Cover (3 on each side).

(3) Disconnect the antenna cable from the FLARM unit and remove the

attachments of its laying.
