Landing Gear Method Condition
Main Landing Gear
1. Main landing gear struts - Check condition (distortion, V
corrosion, wear and paint damages).
2. Remove main wheels from axles and check axles for distortion, V
corrosion, wear and damages.
3. Check inner and outer main brackets for fit of shims, cracks V
and wear.
Nose Landing Gear and Engine Mount
4. Nose landing gear main strut and wheel fork - Check V
condition (cracks, distortion, corrosion, wear and paint
damages).
5. Nose wheel steering tubes - Check condition (cracks and V
distortion).
6. Engine mount - Check the entire tube frame and all welded V
joints, in particular at the firewall and nose gear suspension,
for distortion, wear and cracks.
