Assembly Instructions – Propane
Installing the Batteries
• Remove back plate from the battery pack located at the bottom of the Auto-Ignite Flame
Control System and install 8 x AA batteries as shown (Ex. 1). Securely reinstall the back-
plate, do not overtighten.
Locating the Propane Tank
• Place the propane tank a minimum of 60" (152.4 CM) away from the fire feature (Ex. 2).
Connecting the Flame Control System
• Aquascape fire features ship with a 10 ft/3 m gas hose pre-attached to the bottom of the
burner system. Connect the opposite end of the gas hose to the 3/8" flare connection on the flame control system as
shown (Ex. 2). After making all connections, perform a leak test as described on page 12 of this manual.
NOTE:
Do not use pipe compound or Teflon PTFE tape on flare gas connections.
• Aquascape fire features ship with a 10 foot/3 m power cable pre-attached to the bottom of the burner system. Connect
the opposite end of the cable to the flame control system as shown, fully inserting before hand-tightening the collar (Ex. 2).
Connecting the Propane Tank
• Check to make sure there is no debris in the head of the
propane tank or in the head of the regulator valve. Make
sure you check the burner and burner ports as well.
Connect gas line to tank by turning knob clockwise (hand
tighten only) (Ex. 3).
Disconnecting the Propane Tank
• Make sure the valve on the propane tank is closed.
Disconnect by turning the knob counterclockwise until it
is detached from the valve (Ex. 4).
Assembly Instructions – Natural Gas
Propane to Natural Gas Conversion
WARNING:
This conversion shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction. If the information in
these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion or production of carbon monoxide may result causing
property damage, personal injury, or loss of life. The qualified service agency is responsible for the proper installation
of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is checked as
specified in the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the kit. Appliance must be isolated from the gas supply
piping system by closing its individual manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the piping system at test
pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).
