Before carring out the following opera-
tions, let the engine and the exhaust si-
lencer cool down until they reach room
temperature, in order to avoid burns.

Unscrew and remove the screws (1) and
(2).

Screw (1) and (2) tightening torque:
7.23 ftlb (10 Nm).

Unscrew and remove the two screws (3)
and (4) that fasten the exhaust silencer
to the engine.

Screw (3) and (4) tightening torque:
18.08 ftlb (25 Nm).

◆

Remove the exhaust silencer.

NOTE

Upon reassembly, replace the

gasket positioned between the exhaust
manifold and the silencer with a new one.
