LAN Module & Communications
7.6.2 Channel 1 Configuration
Channel 1 configuration is a menu option to re-configure the RS-232 serial communica-
tions. The factory defaults of 9600-baud rate, I/F mode 4C, and Flow 00 represent the
scheme used on the serial channel between the LAN module and the internal micropro-
cessor. See Figure 7.7. These same settings apply to the front RS-232 D-sub connec-
tors. If a new baud rate is desired for RS-232 communications, it is necessary to make
the change using this menu.
Do not make changes using the low-level baud rate command in section 5.0 if a
LAN module is present.
7.6.3 Channel 2 Configuration
Menu option 2 is not used on this product. Changing parameters in this menu option has
no effect on the product.
7.6.4 Restore Default Password
Menu option 3 automatically restores the default factory user “ssjr” and password “ssjr”.
Please note that the default user and password are all in lower case.
7.6.5 Login Failure Threshold
Menu option 4 sets the threshold for the number of unsuccessful logins before the abil-
ity to login is disabled. See Figure 7.8. Each time that a user attempts to log into the
PDU an entry is made in a software table. If the user has “X” number of consecutive
unsuccessful logins, the ability to login will be disabled. The only ways to reset the login
counter is to power off the PDU or increase the login failure threshold above the current
number of login failures. Valid settings are from 2 to 16959.
