Connecting to a TV
NOTICE
• If you get a black & white picture when using your S-Video cable, do the following: PRESS Setup - Select Video - Select Video
Setup - Select DAC interlaced - Select #3 “CVBS,Y,C,CSBS” - Finally, select Setup to exit.
• It will be helpful to also refer to the owners manual of the connected TV.
• Turn off the power and unplug both units before setting up any connections.
• The playback picture will be distorted if you do not connect the DVD video player directly to your TV because DVD video discs
are protected by Macrovision.
• Therefore, if you connect the DVD video player to a video cassette recorder (VCR), or TV/VCR combination, the playback picture
will be distorted.

Connecting the DVD video player to your TV. Be sure your TV is on the Video Input channel before
you press the Setup button to select your settings.
• How to setup the sound output
1. Press SETUP, select AUDIO, press ENTER.
2. Select SPEAKER SETUP, press ENTER.
3. Select SPEAKER SIZE, press ENTER.
4. Set the MAIN, CENTER, and Surround to small or large.
• How to setup the video output
1. Press SETUP, select VIDEO, press ENTER.
2. Select VIDEO SIGNAL, press ENTER.
3. Select DAC Interlace (Progressive), press ENTER.
4. Select the OUTPUT CONFIGURATION which is accordant to
your TV.
