4 Maintenance

EN     Floor  grinding machine DSM 530S  / DSM 650S  / DSM 800S

4 Maintenance

Follow  the safety instructions in  Chapter 2.

  The operating and  maintenance personnel

responsible for the machine must ensure that

no  one can enter the machine’s danger zone
during  operation or maintenance work.

Only  trained and  qualified personnel may

perform maintenance and  repairs on  the in-

strument! They must be familiar  with  the
dangers associated with  such work,  protect
themselves and  avoid  danger!

When working  on  the machine (set--up, main-

tenance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the

power supply of  the machine has to  be di-
sconnected from  the mains

(Disconnect power plug)

!

Perform cleaning and  maintenance work  in
accordance with  the operating manual  and
check the safety guards for completeness
and  functionality.

4.1 Customer service and spare parts

In case of customer service queries, replacement
parts or repairs, please contact the manufacturer.
To ensure your  queries are dealt with as quickly as
pos- sible, always quote your  machine data. These
are located on  the machine’s nameplate [38,  Fig.H].

4.2 Set machine upright/tilt

Tilt machine

1.

Disconnect the power plug [4, Fig. A/L]

from  the mains.

2.

Disconnect the dust  extraction [25,  Fig. C]

from  the machine.

3.

DSM  530S  / DSM 650S:

If necessary,  open the manual valve

[6, Fig. A] and empty the tank.

DSM  800S:

Disconnect the water supply [24,  Fig. C]

from  the machine.

4.

Securely hold the guide bar [3, Fig. A] or se-

cure it  against falling and turn  the
clamping nuts [21,  Fig. E] anticlockwise, until
the lok- king  disks [22,  Fig. E]  are  no  longer
enga- ged.

5.

Adjust the guide bar to the upper,

stretched position [Fig. F] and tighten the
clamping nuts clockwise so that the locking
disks en- gage.

6.

If additional weights [7, Fig. G/F]  are pre-

sent: Remove both  knob  screws [39,

Fig. G], swivel the additional weights back-
ward over  the wheels until they lock into
place and secure with the knob  screws.

7.

Grip the guide handle [1, Fig. F] with both

hands and place one foot  on  the
support [23,  Fig. F] (     arrow).

8.

Pull the guide handle and press against

the support to tip the machine [Fig. F] and

place it on  the floor.

Setting the machine upright

1.

Set  the  machine

upright.

2.

Remove both  knob  screws [39,  Fig. G],

swivel the weight elements [7, Fig. G/F]
forward over  the drive motor  until they
lock into place; secure with the knob
screws.

3.

Adjust the guide bar to the desired

working position and tighten the clamping
nuts clockwise, so that the locking disks
en- gage.

4.3  Mounting and dismantling ETX diamond tools

The consistency of the surface to  be ground
determi- nes the type or  composition of the tools to
be used.

All  ETX  diamond tools authorised for this  ma-
chine  [Fig.  I]  are  removed  and  mounted  in
the same manner.

Always mount  3 or 6 tools of  the same type

and degree of  wear per ETX locating plate
according to  the processing specifications.

All locating plates need to  be equipped with

diamond tools of  the same type and  the
same quantity. The diamond  tools need to
be equal in  height

(degree of wear)

.

Danger of  injury from  sharp edges!

An  extremely sharp burr can form  on  the

diamond tools during  the grinding process.

Wear safety gloves!

1.

Tilt the machine (     Chapter 4.2).
