5 Acceptance  and transportation

Do  not  raise loads any  higher than  neces- 
sary!

 

Prevent the load  from  swinging back and 
forth!

 

Keep sufficient safety distance.

 

 

Devices for  stopping and  transporting the unit 
have to  be rated  to  handle its full  weight and 
dimensions.

 

Observe weight data  on  packaging or in the ac- 
companying documentation.

 

Never walk  or reach beneath the load  while it 
is being lowered.

 

Wear safety shoes! 
Wear safety gloves!

 

Proceed with  the greatest care and  caution! 

For longer transports or longer storage, the

 

machine needs  to  be covered to  protect

 

against soiling.

 

 

The machine can  be transported on  palettes, to 
pro- tect the machine from  damage.  The machine 
can be relocated over shorter distances in the tipped 
position with the transport wheels.

Decommission the machine (     Chapter 4.7).

 

 

2.      

Fasten all loose parts to the machine.

 

 

3.      Either

Tip the machine (     Chapter 4.2)  and use 

the transport wheels [8, Fig. F] to 
transport to the desired location, where it 
can then

 

be set down.

Attach lashing gear [M] (belt or ropes) to 

the machine  [Fig. M] and hoist the ma- 
chine onto  a suitable transport device 
(e.g. a palette).

 

 

The floor grinding machine DSM  800S  is equip- 
ped with special transport eyes (37,  Fig. M).

 

 

  

When hoisting or transporting the machine 

with a  vehicle or suitable transport device,

 

always ensure that  the machine is secured 
or strapped in  with  tension belts according 
to  regulations.

 

 

b.     

Move  the machine to the respective 

loca- tion and set it down.
