internal DVD-ROM drives on the MDL200 ("Drive 1" and "Drive 2").
Each of the drives can be operated separately and simultaneously, which is a feature that you can
take advantage of in several possible ways (see

below).

•
Unmount
button:
Use this button to unmount the disc that is currently loaded in the
corresponding drive. This refers to the MDL200’s internal DVD-
ROM that is used for the actual disc reading process, as opposed
to the carousel that stores all of the discs in the MDL200.
Note
: Use the
Changer > Eject
,
Eject Range
or
Eject All
com-
mands to remove discs from the carousel.
•
First Disc/Last Disc
fields: Use these fields to specify the range of slots to include in either the
identification / transfer processes on each drive. Since each of the
drives can be operated individually and simultaneously, you can
use this disc range setting to your advantage in several ways.
For example, you could load every slot on the MDL200 with 200
discs, and transfer discs 1-100 on Drive 1, and discs 101-200 on
Drive 2 at the same time (by specifying these ranges in the First
Disc/Last Disc fields for each drive).
Alternatively, you could use one drive to transfer discs while using
the other drive to identify a second set of discs.
You could also specify different region codes to each drive to facili-
tate loading large numbers of DVDs with different region code set-
tings.
