- Once all the oil has been drained, put the drain
plug (X2) back on the machine.
- Drain the used gearbox oil into a suitable
container where it can be taken to the clean point.
Fill.
- Place the machine on a flat, horizontal and
unobstructed surface.
- Unscrew the oil filler cap (X1).
- Insert 2.2l of 80-90W Garland transmission oil
through the filling tube (ref: 7100008090 not
included with the machine).
- Clean the oil plug rod with a cloth.
- Insert the dipstick and screw in the oil cap.
- Unscrew the cap again and check the mark that
the oil has left on the dipstick. The signal left by
the oil must be between the minimum and
maximum marks.
- If the mark is below the minimum add a little
more oil and check again.
- If the mark is above the maximum, you will have
to remove oil from the gearbox. To do this, tilt the
machine and let a little oil escape (put a
container at the end of the tube to prevent the oil
from spilling on the machine or on the ground).
8.2.3. CHECKING THE SPARK PLUG
When it comes to starting a machine, the most
common problems are produced by a dirty spark plug
or one in poor condition. Clean and check the spark
plug regularly.
Check that the electrode gap is correct (0.6 - 0.7
mm).
8.2.4.CLEANING THE CYLINDER FINS
The cylinder fins are responsible for the cooling of the
engine due to its contact with the air. These fins must
be clean and without any material including those that
limit the flow of air.
A few dirty fins will make the motor to overheat and
can be dangerous. Check the condition of the cylinder
fins regularly.
For the rest of maintenance work, take the machine to
your nearest service agent.
