5) REMOTE TRIGGER
The 4 ports for remote trigger are programmable through browser.
To Message Recorder etc, the ports are triggered using a dry contact. The action that
shall follow would be according to the setup done for the remote trigger, eg; installation of
MR1301 to MxP2288. would require an audio in and a dry contact. “Please refer to
section 10” connecting MR1301.
6) RS485
UART (RS485) data shall be sent out for relevant activity performed by the unit. It can also be used to control the unit’s function, such as controlling
volume, selecting zones, etc.
As the unit’s controlling features can be accessed directly via browser, we recommend using this method for the purpose.
7) EP1200A EMERGENCY PAGING PANEL
Whenever EP1200A connected to matrix is activated, a dry contact shall be available for variety of purpose, eg. to override volume controller, generate
ALL CALL to external zone selector, etc.

Use a cat5e cable to connect EP1200A to the controller.
Activation of EP1200A shall automatically mute all other inputs and redirect them to EP1200A
for highest priority announcement.

FAIL SAFE FEATURE
MxP2288 has advanced feature of fail safe operation. If the unit is faulty digitally or if it is
totally shut down, EP1200A shall still be able to page, bypassing the controller, feeding the
audio signal directly to power amplifiers.
Note: Connect EP1200A to the dedicated port only and not the “Remote Paging Mic” jack.
